Life Off-Campus: BCS Events, July 6 - 9

Posted on Thursday, Jul 06, 2017
Here’s to hoping y’all took a day off from your reading & writing & arithmetic and had a wonderful 4th of July enjoying brats, fireworks, and celebrating the U.S.A. There’s lots to do this weekend, and I’m hoping to see some of you around. I’m particularly looking forward to First Friday and making a succulent beer can planter, which I will probably kill within a week because those are just the kind of thumbs I have.

Email me your pictures from around town at brittany {DOT} Segundo {AT} tamu.edu if you’d like to be featured in next week’s post! Let me know in the comments what I’ve missed.

If you haven’t been to First Friday yet, you’re missing out on a BCS institution! Well, from what I can tell, based on a year in BCS. Musicians and bands play on the sidewalk, and Brice and The Lonesome Strings will be playing at the Palace Theater at 7:30. The classic movie 1776 will be showing at Square One Downtown Bryan Event Center and Loft, and, if that isn’t enough, the Bryan Animal Center will be out in front of Carnegie with some adorable animals. Besides, Brazos Cedar Works will be having a drawing for a $50 gift card…so…see you there?
