Resilience in the Face of Adversity: Dinner & Dialogue

The Office of Graduate and Professional Studies (OGAPS), along with the Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC), invites you to join the Texas A&M graduate and professional community of students, faculty, and staff for an evening of dinner and dialogue.  This year, the program will be April 10, 2018, and will highlight graduate and professional students as unsung heroes.  We will highlight their resilience in the face of adversity during their academic journeys. In addition, distinguished table hosts will facilitate small group discussions over dinner.  We invite you to share your experiences, learn from others, and help strengthen the graduate and professional community of scholars!

The evening begins with a social reception at 5:30 p.m. Doors open for the dinner and dialogue event promptly at 6:00 p.m. The event concludes at 8:30 p.m.  Doors will close promptly at 6:20 p.m. and admittance will not be allowed once doors are closed.‚Äč

This event is open to current graduate and professional students, faculty and staff and includes a three-course dinner. Please feel free to bring your significant other at no cost. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate children at this event. Please be sure to indicate if you will bring your significant other and select your meal option(s) during the RSVP process. Suggested dress is business casual.

Attending this event can earn 1 Professional Development Unit (PDU) towards the G.R.A.D. Aggies Professional Development Certificate.

Community of Scholars affords registrants the opportunity to dine with fellow graduate students at tables hosted by a distinguished table mentor. We encourage participants to capitalize on this occasion to seek out unfamiliar faces and forge new relationships. OGAPS will populate tables on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Should you desire to sit with specific friends or a particular table host, please arrive early for check-in with your party.
